Kult / Camisole
Finally, after almost 9 months later (great coincidence), Kult’s material for the split with Camisole is being finished. The final touches are on their way and the final mastering as well. It’s almost 80 minutes of material, from harsh power electronics to ritual death ambient tracks. Although the tracks are ready, this split will only be released in the begining of 2007 (January or February) because Void Rekordz will be closed for 5 months due to professional matters related with the owners.
As for Camisole, the tracks are already ready and were delivered to Void Rekordz. 5 tracks of death ambient with noisier parts and harsh BM driven vocals. For those of you who don’t know Camisole, check this:

Profan

It seems that each day that goes by, we are more and more into this kind of stuff. No rules, improvised, exorcizing sonic actions. Yes, Profan has new material almost ready to become available.
A few weeks ago, Mr A. decided to destroy some guitar tracks recorded by Mr. M and mix them together in a new track, adding several “dronish” and industrial sounds, creating a long track filled with guitar noise, drones, feedback and rumbles. This process was used once again but this time using source material from Mmatmuor from the Black Metal band MORTE. In the end, two long tracks are ready to be unleashed, filled with some dark ambient/ ritual noise feeling.
Last week, two long rehearsals took place in Oporto. Aproximatly four hours of improvisation between Mr M (guitar), Mr A (sampling, synths, noise) and K (synth) were recorded and then destroyed, cut, rebuilt and mixed, creating walls of abstract distorted sound. Four tracks were born from the ashes of the action. Delivering some influences like Sunn 0))), Popul Vuh, Merzbow (of course) with electrifying frequencies and deep earthshaking rumbles. The sound is raw and dirty, since the recordings were directly made in the rehearsal room using only one mic. Down to earth shit!
So, expect about two releases. Currently there are no plans about how or when they will become available.
Dumping Ground
As far as I was told, in the next couple of weeks, the latest outburst of Kult shouldbe available through Dumping Ground Records. This american label focus the genres of harsh noise, harsh industrial or power electronics. Depraved littler fuckers, aren’t they? Among the catalog are included Albert Fish Is My Hero, A Machine Called Orgasm, Ferveur Noire or Mutant Ape. Cdr or tape. It’s your call. Expect the ultimate offensive artwork as well.
About Kult’s release, it’s probably one of the harshest it has been exposed to public. 8 tracks raging from brutal Power Electronics to claustrophobic Death Industrial. Lots of feedback, mic abuse, deranged vocals, sex noise, whatever. For a small sample, take a listen to “A matter of perception” from www.myspace.com/kultindustry
